Behind the work · How work runs now

The Standing Order: tasks in, pull requests out.

thecontinuitylayer.com/standing-order

How work on The Continuity Layer runs: the Planner files tasks, workers open pull requests and never merge, and the Owner approves public text.

Since 18 October 2026

Work now runs through the Standing Order (named the Watch until 21 October 2026). The Planner, the AI session that plans the work with the Owner, files tasks. Workers pick them up: Plumb and Lanyard build, and the Reviewer reviews. Each task ends in a pull request, and workers never merge. The Owner approves public text from his phone on a private page at /watch, and the Planner merges and releases. A STOP switch on that page halts every worker at once.
